This is later on Saturday night when the shotgun fire into the river is over for the day. In an RV park...come on!
Late Sunday morning and the kids are having an Easter egg hunt. It blew like hell all night and it still was still really windy here but at least the sun was out. Kids don't care if it's a bit cool...one little guy had been running around in bare feet on the gravel playing hide and seek with his brother all morning ...no problem. They threw frisbee type toys and flew kites in the wind.
The little girl with the pink bucket kept dropping her eggs and Daddy had to keep picking them up.
Later in the afternoon and now more gunfire on the river. A different batch of shooters with rifles this time. They were straight out from the RV and once again shooting into the river. Aren't you supposed to do that at a shooting range?
A beautiful warm afternoon which would have been quite tranquil except for....all the gunfire! Sorry but I just don't get it.
Lovely look down river.
There we are parked in the sunshine.
There was supposed to be a potluck later in the day but at about 4:30 pm (Pacific daylight time!) or 5:30 here, the power went out. We saw people retrieving their food dishes from the common building so I guess it didn't happen. The power was only out about 45 minutes which didn't matter to us as I was cooking with propane.
Just to the right of us is a big herd of cattle.
Eric went out to see what was going on at the fish cleaning station. We'd thought they wouldn't catch any catfish because the river was so high but...they did. Three or four big ones and a couple of little ones. All they keep is the fillets and Judy the park owner said they make good fish tacos with mango salsa! Sounds yummy! She also said they were having a fish fry next Friday....just like Mazatlan when John and Jeri hosted the fish fry with dorado. Ah...the times we had!
So all in all a nice day. Eric rested up for the next days drive and I spent a lot of the day reading a book. A nice way to spend Easter Sunday.
