775 miles done 2300 to go..Quesnel BC to Kelowna BC

We were up early yesterday morning and on the road by 7:45.  Cold at -2c but no snow.

The truck and trailer are filthy!

Heading out of Quesnel...-3c.
Pretty day.

Between 100 mile and into and we're up high...4000  ft. on the Chilcotin plateau.
Not sure what they're growing here.
Coming into into Clinton.

Heading down to Cache Creek and it's greening up.

It's warming up!
Between Cache Creek and Kamloops.  Huge amount of hay and grain in this area.

Kamloops Lake and the water level is very low.  The Fraser River is low as is the Skeena River at home.  Less water than we've ever seen in October.
The pretty Falkland Valley between Kamloops and Vernon.
Huge fire here last year at Monte Creek.

Up the hill out of Vernon and getting closer to Kelowna.
Kalamalka lake.

Downtown Kelowna and it's busy.

We got in around 4pm.  A good catch up visit with Ian and Linda and happy hour before dinner.  We didn't have Thanksgiving dinner this year as our daughter and son in law were sick so..Linda made us a lovely turkey dinner.  We'll  stay in Kelowna for a few days and then head south.

On the road again..finally!

Here we are parked in the front yard ready to go yesterday.

We haven't been able to drive south for the winter last two years because of...well you know why..covid.

So..on the road this morning.  Destination of the day Quesnel, BC which is a little over half way to Kelowna, BC where we'll visit family before heading into the USA.

It was raining and about 4c when we left Terrace.

Snow on the mountains.

This used to be the hospital in Smithers BC where Eric was born 75 years ago and now it's the Art Gallery.

Snow and rain over Hungry Hill just south of Smithers.

         Prince George, BC.

The rivers are all incredibly low for late                      October, even the mighty Fraser.
Coming into Quesnel where we'll overnight.
