Mazatlan, Sinaloa to Navojoa, Sonora and we had no issues!

The last week has been a whirlwind getting ready to head home.  We were packed up and ready to go by 8 this morning.  The motorcycle was already loaded and all we had to do was hook up. The trailer was across the street and the worry was someone would park too close behind it so we couldn't hook up.  Luckily it was open.

Eric had decided to take the free road to Culiacan.  Only two lanes but no giant tolls to be paid for a crappy road.  For the most part it was good.  A little slower because of small towns and the much hated "topes" or speed bumps.

Quiet road most of the way.

Lots of agriculture.  All monocrop.
I didn't take a lot of photos as we were using my phone for navigation.  We turned left just south of Culiacan and joined up with the toll road or Mex 15D and headed north.  We paid 4 tolls today but they weren't huge like the two between Mazatlan and Culiacan on the toll road.

This is coming into Los Mochis..look at the tomatoes heading to be crushed, juiced, canned or. ?

The ever favorite topes...they could shake the teeth out of your head!

Beautiful day...34C!

Finally!  We're out of Sinaloa and into Sonora.  In the early days of our RVing Sonora had horrifying roads but now the are all concrete...just lovely.  A bit of vibration sort of like a massage chair.
Sinaloa used to have good highways and now you pay huge tolls for crappy roads.

Our room in the Fiesta Navojoa.  Big and clean.

Not too busy tonight.

The trailer was damaged by a garbage  truck pulling out and hitting it when Eric was bringing it through Mazatlan a couple of weeks ago.  Luckily it didn't bend an axle.  However it did bend the fender and blow off the hub cab and dust cap.

Eric improvised and cut off the end of a Pacifico lite beer can.  A little black majic to hold it and it should stay there till we get home. Looks like it was meant to be there.

Fiesta Navojoa.  Tomorrow the border and Nogales Arizona for the night.
