Dick and Manny, Günter & Max win!

P1050314 P1050314

P1050314

Gord and the invisible Sandi!

P1050317

John throws and he and his  partner Betty (right behind him) beat his wife Jeri ( to the left) and her partner Regina.

P1050319

That’s Dennis squatting and intently watching the measuring but….it didn’t help.  He and Boomer lost to Donna and Jeannette.

Day 2 and the action continues.

Fred and I played his wife Marion and her partner Ron.  I always have trouble remembering Ron’s name because I’ve always thought of him as Jack.  Why you might ask!  Well you know that song Jack and Diane by John Cougar Mellancamp…

"Jack And Diane"

Little ditty about Jack and Diane
Two American kids growin' up in the heartland
Jackie gonna be a football star
Diane debutante backseat of Jackie's car …..etc. etc.

P1050322  P1050322

Ron (aka) Jack and Marion.

 P1050325 P1050322

Me….and Fred.

So what happened you might ask….well both teams played really well but in the end it was 14 all and Ron and Marion won.  A really good game.

P1050326

Frank and Carol lost to Bill and Blake.

P1050327 P1050328

Betty delivers and so does Connie (there is a ball way out front in the air.)

P1050327

Another hard fought game but they loose to Ursula and Eddie.

P1050330

Laurie delivers while Diane watches expectantly but they lose to Al and Richard in the back.  Nice try gals!

Onward to Day 3 and we are getting down to the Nitty Gritty.

Eric had decided that it was time I got a Press Hat so he leant me his Panama hat and made me a sign that says” Press….Cub Reporter!”  Everyone got a laugh out of that.

P1050337

Cub Reporter.

P1050347

At this point “Jack a.k.a. Ron” decided that he should have a hat too.  His sign says “Jack”  even though you can’t read it.

So….what happened?

Well

P1050334

Betty and John…

P1050335

whooped Max and Günter (even with fabulous arm action and the ball in the air it didn’t help.)

P1050340

Günter and Max lose to John and Betty.

P1050341

Donna on the left and Jeannette on the right lose to Gord and Sandi.

P1050343

The ladies play well but lose to the guys

P1050344

Dick is reffing and Blake watches.

P1050348

Gord and Sandi beat Betty and John.

P1050349

Bill and ….

P1050350

Blake beat….

P1050349

Marion and “Jack”….I told them they were supposed to win since they beat Fred and I but they didn’t.

The final and champion ship game had to wait until Saturday morning because the gal from Iowa….Sandi had an appointment to get her toes done.  Priorities!

Saturday morning 9am.

P1050355

Gord delivers as Blake and Bill watch.

P1050356

The toes are pretty, the form is great and the gal from Iowa and her partner Gord….

P1050357

Win!  The game was even most of the way but in the end…..P1050358

Gord and Sandi win the “Teeny, Tiny, Trophy”  Well done.

I promise….no more Bocce Blogs!

You know how promises are….made to be broken!
