Feliz Año Nuevo

There was a New Year’s Eve party last night up in the palapa  at the front of the park.

Marilyn, Eddy and Betty gather on New Year’s Eve.

P1050282

Marion and Gord have a blab.

P1050301

Max and Fred have a little chat.

P1050283

An appetizer party that started at 6pm….and yet more food…again.  I think that might be the blogger’s glass of Pacifico on the table!

P1050285

Jeannette welcomes us and wishes us a Happy New Year.

P1050288

Gord and Carol.

P1050289

I think those might be tequila Jell-O shooters on Boomer’s plate.

P1050291

It is Bill’s 75th birthday and Betty made him a cake.   See that little bicycle on the cake, well that’s because Bill gets up and rides his bike at 6:30 every morning.  He’s looks good and is in great shape…an inspiration to us all.

P1050294

It’s blurry but that’s Betty giving Bill a birthday hug.

P1050295

Val gives Anita a massage?  Maybe to warm her up for the dancing!

P1050299

In between cake and dancing Bill deep fries up some “Oliebollen!”  This is a traditional Dutch/Danish  deep fried doughnut * see my January 1, 2012 post about oliebollen.  It is traditionally served at New Year’s….delicious.

P1050300

Laurie says “ Ollie what?”

P1050296 Then it’s time to dance and the ladies hit the floor.

P1050302

Most of the men didn’t dance but some did like John with his wife Jeri…..

P1050304

P1050306

That’s Dick cutting a rug….okay cutting some tiles!

Fred and Marion are dancers too but I didn’t catch them on film.

At about 8pm I headed back to the rig to relax and the dancers continued on.  Some people made it to midnight but I wasn’t one of them!

The weather today has been cloudy, warm and also a bit rainy.  Eric and I  hit the beach this afternoon but it started to rain and we came home.  The same thing happened at the New Year’s Eve gathering.
