La Sagrada for Ladies Lunch

Wednesday's lunch was at a highly rated Italian restaurant in the Sabalo Mall not too far into the Golden Zone.  La Sagrada is located on the second floor with a nice view of the ocean.  We were once again an even dozen for lunch.  I'd said we didn't need one large table which was a good thing as the restaurant probably doesn't hold more than 20 so we spread out.

La Sagrada and the view of the ocean.

Beautiful day with only a few people on the beach.

Where will I sit says Sandi?

We moved a couple of tables together and ended up at three tables.

Linda with her friend Karen from Kelowna and I sat together.

Perusing the menu.

Terry, and Diane on the left and Ruth and Susie on the right.

Just a small space and when I asked the waiter if they were usually busy he said usually starting at 3pm as the local people come early for dinner or late for lunch but every day was different.  They also do take out.

It turned out to be a pizza day for everyone.  The menu is in spanish but the very helpful young waitress translated for us.  Excellent staff and it was helpful that she and the waiter spoke good English.

You'll be next!

They were all very thin crust and the spicing was excellent.  This one has arugala on it.

Everyone ordered their own pizza except Diane and Terry who shared.  The restaurant had no problem doing a half and half pizza so they could try two different kinds.  None on them were smothered in cheese but instead had very flavorful spicing.  Delicious!

Linda, Karen and I.  There was a nice Mexican lady and two gentlemen sitting next to us and I explained we were a ladies lunch group and we were trying as many new restaurants as we could.  She said this was her favorite restaurant.  They stared with salads, moved onto pasta and finished with pizza.  It all looked delicious.

The Margherita  pizza.

The pizza was very light and we all managed to eat half of a pizza and take the rest home.

Three pizzas came out and the table shared until the rest came. Sandi, Marion,  Liz,  Mary and Marilyn.

The menu is varied and we all found something we liked.  The service was excellent and the young waiter and waitress were very helpful, efficient and both really cute!!  A place to return to.

On the second floor and no elevator but everyone managed the stairs.  Some went a couple of doors down the street to Henderson's meat market to stock up.  All frozen and very tender North American meat at reasonable prices.  So a good time was had by all. Home on the bus and I might mention the bus ride is 13 pesos or approximately 91 cents Canadian.  Ruth, Linda and Karen hopped into taxi that made them an offer they couldn't refuse...20 pesos each as he was going their way.  A deal!
