Margaritas for Ladies lunch.

On Thursday we were off to Margarita's in the Golden Zone.  The group had never been there although a number of the ladies had.  A good review on Foodies so it was worth a visit and ....a good visit it was.  Marilyn mentioned it was a bit of wind tunnel because of it's location so we all brought a light jacket or sweater.  This day we were ten.

Very colorful with small shops along the inside and a second floor with a walkway to other shops.  Set up for a large amount of people and a wait staff who was on the ball.

It took a bit for all of us to arrive but in the meantime we ordered drinks and chatted.  This is a happy hour 11am to 4pm restaurant.  So two margaritas, two beers....etc.

Marilyn, Liz, Marilyn and Cathy.

A lovely staircase to the second floor.

Marilyn loves margaritas and she got two.  She said she was drinking the second one for Ruth as she was too tired to come.  What a gal!

Liz and I had Penefiel which is a carbonated mineral water with lime. I've had some dehydration issues over the last few years so it's better I stick to water at lunch.  Later in the lunch I discussed this with my medical team, Cathy, Liz and Susie are all nurses so I'm in good hands!

This is Valerie.  She and her husband Dick now winter in Arizona but are long time RVers who were in Las Jaibas with all of us for many years.  They decided to drop in for a week and it's so nice to see them.

The waiter with the "flat head😁" delivering Margaritas.  One of the waiters in the Torres restaurant does the same thing and the balance is amazing as his hands are usually full of other drinks at the same time.  A real crowd pleaser.

Squatting down...

....and Marion takes the drink!

My picture of the ladies. Marilyn or Mar Mabel, Georgia, Liz, Susie, Val, Marilyn, Cathy and Marion.  Pat came in a few minutes late and missed the group photo.

A young man at the table beside us kindly offered to take a photo with me in it.

There she is chatting to Marilyn.

Peek a boo!  That's Lucy looking very sleepy.  You'd never know she was there as she stays in her bag and never makes a peep.  She's 14 now and just happy to have Georgia close by.  Georgia says if she's out on the beach she's all over the place.

Susie had nachos.

Two Chili rellenos, refried beans and rice in a broth.  Just the way I like chili rellenos and they were delicious.  And yes...I ate the whole plate. Chili relleno's are a big hoop de do to make so not something I would bother with.

A big molcajete pot with all sorts of deep fried things for Georgia and Liz to share.  A bit greasy and they had forgotten the dipping sauces until Liz asked.  I think they enjoyed it.

Val ordered a shrimp salad.  Look at the size of those shrimp.

Happy to be visiting!

Tortilla soup.

Everyone happily eating their lunches.  This is another restaurant that had no problem with separate checks.  They numbered us and the bills were delivered promptly.  Good service although a bit slow at one point when they got busy but...we weren't in a hurry.  Once ordered the meals came out quickly.  Friendly, funny and efficient which makes for a pleasant lunch experience.  A place that deserves a repeat visit!

There was a parrot in a cage on the second floor squawking and the waiter brought it down for a visit.  It was well socialized as it didn't make a fuss and seemed to enjoy the attention.

Lunch is done and we all wandered off.  I walked back to the Fresh Market in the Tres Isla's mall which was about a 20 minute walk but it was a lovely day.  A good lunch with friends...what more can you ask for!

    1. I watch Foodies reviews and that helps! We haven't hit any "duds" this season...so far. 😁
