Ladies Lunch at Centenario

This restaurant is located at the south end of the Golden Zone on the east side of the street.

10 of us were waiting for a bus but a red truck came by and we hopped in that instead.  He like all the rest took the round about route to the far end of the Golden Zone where the restaurant is situated.

Isn’t Sandi cute with the pink cow.

There was a whole herd of cows out front.  I mean the pretend ones!

Here we all are on one of their outside patios but it was a convoluted journey to get there.  I’m sure you would agree that this many women would have trouble making a decision as to where they will sit to have lunch.  We started out on the other outside patio (smoking section so no good) then inside but …there was a band playing (too noisy) and then finally out side on this patio.   Whewww!

Two tables and 13 total.

The waiter came out with large sombreros and plunked them on Angie, Ruth and Sharen’s heads.  Got a good giggle from all of us.

Suits Ruth….don’t you think?

Fast forward past drinks to lunch.  This is my seafood chowder which arrived a bit cool and was sent back to be warmed up.  P.S. -  the microwave is not kind to fresh shrimp.  In the end it was very good.  I had ordered two things so I got this ahead of everyone else.

Course two.  A Centenario seafood tostado salad.  Crab, tuna and an assortment of avocado and fruit.  Very good and a few other ladies ordered this as well.

Looks like some sort of fettucine.

Sandi’s shrimp salad.  She said it was excellent and had the best tomato in it that she had ever eaten.

Marion’s stuffed chicken breast.  It was supposed to be stuffed with mushrooms but she couldn’t find any.  The gravy was a bit salty but she said the meal was still delicious.

This is me eating my seafood tostada.  I ate the soup and the salad and enjoyed it all.  Light dinner for me tonight!

Here is our table eating.   Anita did not enjoy her meal (not sure why) and Bets thought the seafood chowder was salty.  The other table had no complaints.

Marilyn was discussing something with the very capable and professional waitress.

So…all considered a thumbs up!  Food was good, service excellent, prices reasonable, food presentation good and the menu was very extensive.  I’d eat here again anytime.

Another good lunch out…..burp!

  1. Must agree, that shrimp salad looks very good. Loved that the sombreros matched the color of two of the cows. Always fun to read about your lunches out.
