We were up early this morning and on the road by 7:30 am. Only 350 easy miles to go but we didn't want to hang around in the Sunset Inn😁 Alamo to Jackpot is our favorite drive through the wide open spaces and beautiful mountains of the Great Basin. This blog is mostly pictorial because it's so beautiful I just keep snapping! So enjoy our day with us.
Leaving Alamo and into Ash Springs with....ash trees😊
There's water so it's green.
The cows with their calves are grazing...beautiful!
Coming into White River Narrows and it's stunning!
Were rising and the Junipers appear.
We've been between 4 and 6 thousand feet. A lot higher than Mazatlan😁
McGill just north of Ely.
Snow😬
The Ruby mountains.
Prong horn antelope migration and this is an overpass for them. There are underpasses as well. The fences along the highway are tall to keep them off the highway.
Bartons Club 93. We were in early but it's an hour later here as Jackpot runs on Idaho time even though it's in Nevada.
A nice big room for $48 US. Everything we need but...no microwave or fridge. It's a casino so they want you to eat in the hotel😁
Cool here at 7c but no wind so it's all good. Tomorrow Pendleton Oregon.
