Murmullos for ladies lunch.

Aren't they cute and look at those matching pants on Sandi and Marilyn.  They bought them at Soriana's and there was some discussion about all of us getting a pair!  Kind of like the crazy pants days!

Waiting for the bus to head off to Ladies Lunch at Murmullos located in the Dairy Queen building which is now the Camino al Mar plaza.  The original building was demolished and a new tower built with condominiums above commercial space and also a new very tiny Dairy Queen.

Off the bus and into the complex where the restaurant is located and then up the escalator.

Way down the north end on the second floor.  Quite quiet in here.  Much like the Tres Islas Plaza where the Fresh Market is located.

Heading into the restaurant and hardly anyone was around.

I always say we don't need to sit at one big table when I make the reservation but....one big table it is!  We were the only people in the restaurant for most of the time we were there.

That's Pat on the right and she is joining us for her first lunch of the season as she and Reg just arrived a couple of weeks ago.

Thirteen people with separate checks...no problem.  The newer restaurants are using a tablet to keep track of the orders and bills and it works very well.  That's Diane's friend Terri ordering.  She's been visiting for the last few weeks and this was her last lunch.  She also played cards with us on Mondays.

A well stocked bar and lovely decor.

Everyone is going over the very extensive menu.  Mid to high mid range prices. That's Liz looking at the menu.

Helene joined us on Tuesday and it's always nice to see her.  She and Hal are renting in the old Mazatlan area so we don't see much of her.

First up is Sandi's Spaghetti Arrabiata.

Very good and a large portion so some went home with her.

Terri had a chicken crepe.

This is the tempura Rock Shrimp.  Very tasty but a little light on sauce according to Diane and Susie who ordered it.  I had a bite and it was very tasty.

Marilyn opted for pizza with ham and cheese.

Everyone is really interested in all the different dishes.

This is a fettuccine Alfredo.

Chicken parmigan for Marion and she said it was so good she ate the whole plate!  Excellent vegetables.

Mary ordered a club sandwich and it was a very generous portion.

Ruth and I decided to share two dishes and this is Octopus glazed in a sauce sitting on a bed of cooked and seasoned red cabbage.

I ordered the crusted tuna sitting on a bed of sweet potato risotto.  The sweet potatoes or camotes here have a white flesh which turns kind of green after it's cooked.

Both dishes were very tasty and the spiralized vegetable were good too. Too much for both of us so Ruth took home the leftovers.  A good choice for lunch.

So....everyone enjoyed their food and it all came out promptly.  Service was good, prices were reasonable and a good restaurant to visit any day of the week.  Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

As we were walking out I said to Marilyn that I could go for an ice cream cone at the Dairy Queen and she said that's where she was going for a mango sundae...okay, me too!

Sandi and Marilyn with mango sundaes...I missed a Pic of them laughing.
Seven of us ended up downstairs having Ice cream and I had a chocolate dipped cone.  We had a few laughs talking about food allergies and the differences in children's diets these days compared to when we were kids.  Some chat about bologna, wieners and spam came up in our diets as kids.

Lots of laughs and Cathy is really laughing.  Good fun with friends!
BTW ....the Ice cream was good...just like home!
