Fun dinners with friends two nights in a row!

On Friday night we had happy  hour and dinner at Eric's brother Ian and wife Linda's place.  Joining us were Larry and his wife Jo-Anne who are long time friends of all of us and Karen who is staying with Ian and Linda.  Larry grew up in the same neighborhood as Eric and Ian. Ian, Larry and I were in the same high school graduation class.  Just a few short years ago😁

We made it an easy dinner and ordered in from Brother's Pizza..always good! From the left Ian, Karen, Larry, Linda,Jo-Anne and Eric.

There, I'm in the picture too!

The guys had sat out on the deck for happy hour and all we heard was laughter!  We ladies could have gone to the roof but the wind was too cold!

Larry is a really funny guy and there were lots of stories from when the guys were growing up together.  Pretty special.  He and Jo-Anne are here for 3 weeks and are close by so we'll see them again.  Great evening.

Onward to Saturday night and happy hour and dinner at our place with Frank, Sandi and Dennis  and Marilyn.  We started having regular dinner nights together during Covid and it has carried on, just not as frequently.  We've all been friends since 2009 when we met RVing on our way to the Las Jaibas RV park.

We ladies went upstairs for happy hour and the guys stayed down. Good chat with good friends.

Frank and Sandi.

Dennis and Marilyn.
I'd made lasagna,  cheese scones and ceasar salad. We finished up with a new to me Italian dessert called Sbriciolata al Limone which had a shortbread like crust, lemon custard filling and a crumb topping baked in the oven.  Zest and juice of two lemons in it.  Lots of butter in the crust so very rich.

A cup of tea for some after dinner and we were all happy.  Another lovely evening 😊
