Wednesday was an easy venue for lunch. Right in the Las Jaibas RV park and a favorite for the sushi lovers in the group. We ate there last year and it was excellent and yesterday it was the same. The land the restaurant is leasing is inside the RV park. Since last spring one area of it has been enclosed with A/C and another area has been added. It is extremely popular and on any evening it is packed. The parking is limited so cars end up on the boulevard grass. The north gate of the park has been closed as cars were coming into the RV park to park. It opens at noon and we were the only customers.

An alumni and newbie happy hour at Las Jaibas!
Sandi and Frank thought it would be a good idea to have a low key happy hour at the park so those of us who have moved out into condos and houses could attend. The first year in the park for Eric and I was in 2009 and many people that we met that year had been coming for much longer. In the early years before the US 2008 crash the park was always full so Felipe, the owner expanded in the summer of 2008 and the park has never been full since. Now Covid and high fuel prices along with an aging RV population has slowed numbers down as well. The park used to be surrounded by vegetation and now in the last 5 years it's become condos and houses. North Mazatlan has undergone a huge building boom and is no longer the quiet area it once was. Progress?
First I start with a glimpse into the past😊 The pictures below are from December 2012.
And now it's 2022 and we are a different crowd. Some have moved out of the park, some no longer come and some have passed on. We enjoyed you all

First ladies lunch of the season!
Today was our first lunch of the season and we were trying to remember how long we'd been doing this. I guessed ten years but it's actually eight. The picture below was taken on Decenber 22, 2014. Ladies Lunch was Ruth's idea and it was a good one.
Today it was Panchos on the beach which has become our first lunch of the season for the last few years.
