Lucky B's for Ladies Lunch

Yesterday's choice for lunch was Lucky B's in the Golden Zone.  By the time we left the park and got onto the very busy bus we were 10.  I'd made the reservation for 8 but 2 more wouldn't matter.  Our friend Trudy from home in Terrace is here for two weeks so she joined us and Linda's friend Georgina from her home in Kelowna is here as well.  Georgina came up from La Penita south of here for a five day visit with Ian and Linda.  Georgina, Linda and Trudy in the photo.

Gathered and ready to go.
Trudy and Sue talking.
Off the bus in the Golden Zone by Panama and heading down to Lucky B's.  The bus was extra busy and it would seem that there are still lots of national tourists still here for the week following Carnival.
Lucky B's or as you see bastards!
The whole bunch of us.  Ready for lunch!
I missed the pre-stir picture of Marilyn's sangria.  It was layered and very pretty.

The drinks were ordered and served by the very capable and humorous waiter.  Food orders placed and delivered for ten of us in half an hour.  Very efficient!  This is the Lucky B's burger and I was going to order a burger but there is always too much bun.  Not on this one!  A thin cheese bun with a huge and delicious meat patty and fries.  Next time!
A close up and as delicious as it looks.  Quite a few of these were served at our tables.
Sue and Georgina having a chat. Turns out they are originally from the same town in Saskatchewan.  Small world isn't it?
Jeannette's shrimp fettuccini and Trudy's miramar fish with shrimp.  Both very good.

In front of Linda seared tuna with bernaise sauce served on a bed of rice with grilled vegetables and I had the same.

Jeannette ordered a side of onion rings and then she shared.  That is Sue' shrimp cocktail and ....an onion ring.  I didn't have one but apparently they are extremely good.
This is what's left of my seared tuna with bernaise sauce.  I just couldn't finish the whole thing. When we were finished the bills were delivered quickly and accurately and the whole lunch was a more than pleasant experience.  This is one of those restaurants that is always reliable for food and service.  A great place for lunch any day of the week.  Five stars in our opinion.

I did not take a picture but there was a young Mexican man playing an electric violin next to the restaurant while we ate.  He must have looked at the crowd and then played all the oldies!!  He was very good and was tipped accordingly.

Following lunch we all went our own ways.  A few to clothing shops which Trudy and I did.  Linda and Georgina were off to LizArt with Sue to look at jewelry.  Trudy and I ended up walking south to the Mega Soriana's for a few food items and then we were off home.

Next week El Presidio in the Historico district.

  1. Those onion rings look delicious. Rex’s favorite saying while in Mexico “next time”! Thanks for sharing your Lunch Bunch posts.
