The Last Supper at Torres

Last night 34 of us traipsed over to Torres for a last dinner of the season and...a good time was had by all.  Jeannette is a great organizer and this event was no exception. thanks so much Jeannette!

We all arrived somewhere around 5pm for happy hour and then dinner to follow.  That's Frank at the head of our table.  He and Sandi headed north this morning (saturday.)  Tores is a time share resort with a lovely palapa restaurant that serves good food at a reasonable price.
Dennis, Doug and Richard.  Perusing the menu.
Eric's at the other end of the table chatting with Bill.
Everyone looks quite studious as they decide what to eat.  There was lots on the menu to choose from.
Eddie and Diane were at the table beside us and behind us was another group from Las Jaibas.
Jeannette, Helene (Hal was working last night) Pat and Carol.  Lots of us are no longer in the park but we all remain close.  Especially as many of us do ladies do lunch, bingo and cards together.

Eddie with her twin daughters Sherry and Sheila, Diane and Ed who was up from the table.  Eddie's daughters have been to Mazatlan to stay with their mother lots of times so we all know them really well.  Nice woman!
Neighbors in the park and good friends....Jeannette and Helene.
Happy hour went until 6pm so we all stocked up before dinner was served.  This is a plate of ribs and it was a popular item.
Looks like coconut shrimp to me.
 Food ready to be served.
Anita had a shrimp avocado salad which she didn't think was what she had ordered but....it was all good.
I splurged and had filet mignon wrapped in bacon and it was very tasty.  Eric of course had his usual...marlin tacos!  No surprise there.
Bill ordered "surf and turf" but he didn't hardly make his way through half of it.  A dinner for the next day.
Cathy chatting to Helene.  People got up and wandered from table to table visiting with people they know.
Kathy and Eric.  I even got Eric into some khakis and a polo shirt instead of his usual jeans and a t'shirt.  He looks so good in nice clothes but he isn't a shopper!

Everyone had a good meal and a wonderful time visiting with friends.  The consensus was that we should do this more than just at the end of the season.  We'll see what next year brings.  Lots of people will head home by the end of March but it's only a short time till next October when we all start to trek back.  We're lucky to have met so many nice people over the years when we were RVing and...that we've all stayed friends.  Special!

It was a lovely evening and just about everyone could just walk across the street or down the street to get home.

    1. Thanks Sandy. Not sure why your comments wouldn't post. Where are you wintering?

  2. Hi Kathy,
We are in Guayabitos. The weather has been very different this Winter, couple days of off and on rain, more cloudy days and even some cool days. It is all good. We fly home April 4 - just hoping we can get on the plane and also there is the worry of what is on that plane! This virus thing is a real concern for all of us. Enjoy your last weeks in Mazatlan - I miss that city but just was not to be this year.
