Jan 27th Trudy arrived the next day we were off to the Osuna Distillery and La Martina Restaurant

Jan. 26th and our good friend Trudy arrived for a two week stay.  Does she look happy...you bet!  Cold and snow at home, warmth and sunshine in Mazatlan.
On Mondays our housekeeper comes for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours so we usually get out of the house.  Today it was a road trip to the La Osuna Distillery on the way to La Noria and lunch at the La Martina restaurant. That's Trudy under one of the huge trees at the distillery.
We wandered the area looking at all the equipment but there was no tour happening so ....we toured ourselves.  Two good friends enjoying each other's company.
Out the gate of the distillery and a right turn to the La Martina Hacienda restaurant.  Two old friends together.  We've known each other for 40 years.  A year ago December Trudy lost her husband Eugene to melanoma and the world is a poorer place for his passing. One of our very favorite people.
Isn't it gorgeous.
Time to head in and eat.
We ate out on the back porch and here Eric is looking out over the grounds.  Every year they make more and more improvements.  Not too busy this day but I understand it's packed on the weekends.
Lots of work to keep everything ship shape.  We all had chicken mole enchiladas and I don't think any of us were that impressed.  It is a rather small menu and Trudy and I should have shared the enchiladas and a salad as there was nothing but enchiladas on the plate.  The last time we were here Linda and I had the salad and both agreed it was the best salad we'd ever eaten.
Three little pigs.
Trudy thought this was a nice place for a relax.  All in all a good day.  Lovely weather and a beautiful setting.
What a place to sit and rock in the shade.  Just plain lovely.
