Happy New Year All!

Did you wonder what happened to me as the blog has been quiet?   Well somehow New Years Eve has become a non event for me.  There were appetizers and dancing up front at the palapa on New Years Eve but I just didn’t have it in me to attend.  Sorry….maybe next year.

Eric continues to deal with the broken spring issue.  He has been waiting for them to show up for the last couple of weeks and they finally did.  Eric the RV guy had been waiting for the spring shop ….so everyone was waiting.

I shot these pictures through the screen a couple of days ago as the spring discussion was taking place.  Eric the RV guy had brought them but there were issues.  When my Eric tried to put a bolt in the eye of one of the springs it wouldn’t fit.  They are either 1/2 inch or 9/16th and this one was too small.  There was also an issue with the spring length as well.  So…back to the shop.  Good thing my Eric tried the bolt in all the springs.

The springs returned again today and the spring with the improper eye size had been fixed.  The rest of the issues have not been resolved but the springs all had a new paint job!  We are happy to have them and we will just move on.  This is all quite a bit more technical than what I have posted and Eric will deal with it all when we return home.

IMG_1899  Eric put the new 5 leaf spring on this morning. He will replace the one on the other end of the axle tomorrow.  When we return home he will block the  trailer up, take all the wheels off, change the other springs and rotate the tires.

This afternoon Eric went for a walk on the beach but I stayed home.  In the end I decided to muck out the rig.  It was sorely in need of a vacuuming and that’s what it got along with washed floors and windows.  Feels good to get it cleaned up.

It has been a windy, cloudy day and tonight the sunset showed it.  Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny…..we’ll see.

P.S. -  The New Year’s Bocce tournament started today so there will be pictures tomorrow.  For many people who had to stay home this year it is an opportunity to see their friends.  Boring to some….but not to all!

  1. A quiet New Years is good. Doesn't seem that there were fireworks at Mazatlan. I noticed that your weather was a little cooler. Have fun at the tournament!
