Bocce Champions!

It was a busy morning. 

Bocce finals started at 9:00 am and a group of us were to go to the orphanage at 10 am and in between I was waiting for the vegetable truck and my order of Dorado from our shrimp guy. 

So….

The crowd gathers for the final games. 

Ron and Ursula discuss their strategy against Gunter and Al.

The strategy didn’t work….Gunter and Al win.

Ramona is a spectator.

The vegetable truck shows up and I manage to get “bread, green beans, limes for our beer, apples for Eric and some tomatoes.” That’s Fred perusing the vegetables.

My order of Dorado.  130 pesos for a fillet of Dorado (just over 10 dollars) and that will do us for about 4 meals.  A bargain.  Maybe you can get it cheaper at the market but the quality is good and it is convenient. 

Back to Bocce….

John watches and Manny and Eric chat.

Sandi is feeling better so she and Manny play Gunter and Al and….            

they lose and are out. 

While I was away at the orphanage Gunter and Al had to play Dennis and Rita.  It was a very hard fought game but in the end Rita and Dennis won and now they had to play Bill & Donna.

Getting down to the nitty gritty with Bill and Donna playing Rita and Dennis.

Bill delivers.

This is where I got confused.

Somehow Dennis and Rita and Bill and Donna had to play twice to determine who were the final champions. 

In the end Bill and Donna narrowly beat Dennis and Rita.  Either team could have won and it was a very tight well played game.  Congratulations to Bill and Donna.
