Today's restaurant is a new one to us. This was Steffi's suggestion and it was a very good pick. Eight of us for lunch today and we really enjoyed ourselves. Ruth picked up Linda, Sandi, Pat and I and we were off. When we arrived it was a little convoluted to get to the restaurant which is behind a gate in the condo/marina complex but the guard on the gate was very helpful in getting us parked. He directed us into a parking spot in the condo complex and from there it was a short walk to the restaurant. It seems an odd spot for the restaurant but there is a lot of tour boat traffic here as well as condos so they must do okay.

La Tostaderia for Ladies Lunch
The restaurant is located on a man made island in the marina and you reach it over a small causway.
A beautiful setting with the boats and water in the background, plus it was nice and warm.
All seated except for Helene who hasn't arrived yet. First up drink orders. The young waiter didn't want to do individual cheques so we compromised by doing our bills in twos.
Ruth's lovely pink drink...what is it|? I don't know, but it matches her outfit nicely!
Sandi's bloody Mary. She said it was a bit spicy.
Helene had tacos Gobernador...shrimp and cheese on blue corn tacos. Delicious.
Linda had the same thing!
There was a large variety of lunch dishes today ....all with a variety of interesting names which I did not keep track of. Sandi's has large breaded shrimp.
Ruth likes pink so...her's is pink.
Steffi's was very artfully presented.
Susie's lunch.
My lunch was a chorreada which is a type of tortilla and it was covered in mashed potatoes and topped by 3 large cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped shrimp. Very good and very rich.
Helene and I. It was so nice to have her at lady's lunch today.
Everyone happily eating. The food came out quickly, freshly prepared and delicious.
Steffi, Susie and Ruth chatting.
We sat for a long while laughing and sharing stories. A beautiful afternoon to enjoy each other's company but eventually it was time to go. Susie was walking out to catch the bus, Steffi was riding her bicycle and the rest of us went with Ruth.
A lovely quiet complex.
Susie and Steffi. Steffi is always so helpful at lunches as she is a fluent Spanish speaker. . Helene is also speaks Spanish.
The trek back to the car. The guard who helped us park was waiting to help us back into to the car. A really nice older man who seemed to enjoy our gaggle of older women! We managed to get Helene in too as she just wanted a ride out to the bus stop which is in the middle of a very busy circle. She sat on my lap and then we didn't let her out and Ruth took her back to the RV park with Sandi and Pat😁. Lots of laughs and a really nice afternoon Also, this is a restaurant worth returning to.

Christmas at the Tycho's
This year Christmas was at our house and we had a really nice happy hour and Christmas dinner. I cooked a turkey breast roast in my crockpot on a bed of vegetables and made a sweet potato apple casserole and broccoli salad. Sandi brought the mashed potatoes, Linda provided gravy, stuffing and cranberries. Manny and Connie finished it up with pumpkin pie and chocolate cake. Were we all stuffed...you bet.

Aren't we cute?😊

The men visit downstairs and the women are upstairs😃

Lots of food!

Sandi looks happy.

And a good time was had by all!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone😊

Vagabond Christmas Eve at Pat and Reg's
Every year Pat and Reg graciously host their "vagabond Christmas eve" in the RV park so that all of us away from family and friends can spend Christmas Eve with their Mexico friends. Everyone brings an appetizer and after we have happy hour and visit we eat. Always lots of fun and Pat says that this year there were 40 of us. Many new faces from the back of the RV park and we got to meet Fred's daughter Gaylene, husband Brian and their daughter Reagan. Fred passed away earlier this year and we all miss him. His family is here to visit and staying with his wife Marion.

Pat and Reg welcoming us all. This is Reg's opportunity to scare us half to death with his horn😂

Stu in the back then Connie and Ruth.

Lots of chat and it was nice warm evening.

Pat has her tablet up and everyone is saying hi to Bill and Jeannette who didn't get to come south this winter. Hopefully we'll see them next season.

Susie chatting to Christine in the rear and Patty talking to Connie and Ruth.

In the rear Pat and Reg's good friend Willie and family. Standing is Robert and sitting is Reg.

Manny and Papa John standing Eric sitting.

Dennis and Frank catching up and Larry on the right.

Ian talking to Dennis and laughing about something.

Ian, Dennis,Frank and Manny.

A big discussion for John and Eric.

Marilyn and Marilyn (sisters in law) and my sister in law Linda.

Papa John and Reg catching up.

Pat, Connie and Ruth.

There's always plenty of food and a real variety.

Steffi and Robert chatting to some of the new people from the back of the park. We wintered in Las Jaibas RV park from 2009 till 2018 and then moved into our house in 2019. Lots of people who started out RVING who are now in condos and we all remain friends.

Looks yummy😋

That's Fred's family sitting in the first row of chairs. Very nice people.

Here Marion is saying grace.

And then..we eat!
We all ate and visited until it got dark and then the bugs started to bite and people started to head home. It was a lovely evening...thanks Pat and Reg.
