Coos Bay Oregon to Susanville California

Last night was a quiet one.  Eric slept a lot to catch up and today he was feeling good. We had Connie's casserole, another of her special salads with her homemade blue cheese dressing which he really likes,Manny's Spanish rice and his grilled home grown peppers for dinner.  All delicious.

We've had a really nice visit.

Up early this morning for breakfast. While we were eating Crunchy was racing around killing her stuffed duck😂
Connie was trying to get a timed photo bit it didn't work so she took one of us.  Crunchy is heavy!
Two old 🧡 friends!  I look a little roughed up.🤣

Heading out of town.

Turn left if you can find where it is.

We're heading towards Roseberg and the I5.

A foggy morning.

Wood floating and waiting to be barged.

So much beautiful wood in Oregon...straight as an arrow.

This road is a constant of twists and turns.

How many names does one road need!

Pastoral photo of Oregon sheep.  Oregon is known for its lamb.

Huge mill as we head out I5.

Heading south on I5.

There is smoke in the air from all the California fires.

Up ahead Grant's Pass.

Coming into Medford Oregon.

Siskyou mountain Summit highest on the I5.  Tomorrow we'll be much higher as we head south.

Mount Shasta.

We get offto I5 here to get onto 89 and head inland to McLeod and ultimately Susanville.

89 is filled with truck traffic which is mostly going the other way.

Another twisty turny road.
Lovely fall colour.

Lots of cattle on the flat fields.

This area was burned the first time we came through 4 years ago and not much is growing.

They've made piles of rotting wood...maybe they'll burn it.

This area has a sign that calls it the ...Big Fire and its been replanted.

Left on 36 to Susanville.  There was a bus behind us and he just about rear ended the trailer....couldn't he see us and the stop sign😮

Coming into Susanville California.

We stopped for diesel...wait till its converted to Canadian.😬

We arrived at the Super 8 at 3:30...got a good spot to park, a nice room and all is well.
A good day and tomorrow Ridgecrest California.
