Lucky B's for Ladies lunch

Wednesday's lunch was at Lucky B's an all time favorite.

Located on Gaviotas in the Golden Zone.

We ended up outside as we were a large group. 8 to start, then 10 and by the end 12.  Always very accommodating here.  You can see the owner at the end giving us a run down on the menu and explaining if there is something we want to change in a meal we can.

Chantal, Marilyn, Cathy and Robyn.

That's Connie looking at us.  The waiter is taking " individual orders with individual checks"  He'd hoped we'd at least double up but the owner said no problem we can do individual checks even if the waiter doesn't like it.  The waiter was smiling because he's used to the boss saying this.  As I said... always eager to please here and they were very busy...three cruise ships in!

Three lucky bastards!

Later in the day there will be live music.

It was a bit cool outside because the ocean is close by.  You can see there are lots of people and up top on front it was full too.

This is my pinada which is a non alcoholic pina colada.  It makes me too tired to drink at lunch so I save that for happy hour!

Susie with her shrimp cocktail and she's laughing because I said " Finally something small enough that you can eat the whole thing!"

Mar is laughing because I told her to smile and not look suspiciously at her food!  She's says it's because she used to be a health inspector!!

Shrimp fettuccine for Jeannette.

Sorry Connie you have your mouth open.  Lucky B's chicken ....very delicious.

Marilyn and her friend Liz had shrimp gorditas or....little fattys!

They said they were very good.

Robyn is having a salad and I don't know which one it is.

Chantal and I shared fish and chips and onion rings.  Very good but a bit too greasy.  In retrospect I should have had something lighter after my " pescado frito"  the day before.

So...a really good lunch experience as always.  If you want good friendly efficient service and really good food this is the place to come.

  1. Haven't been there yet this year. Good looks good. Need to get there, but parking is a crap shoot. Maybe Pulmonia.
