Kelowna BC to Goldendale Wa

We were on the road this morning just before 8 am.  Sunny and no frost.

The bridge over Okanagan Lake heading up to west Kelowna.
Would you look at the traffic!
We head south to Osoyoos and the US border.
Okanagan Lake is huge and runs all the way to Penticton.

I love all the rock.

The little old town of Oliver.
Need any fruit?

Up ahead the US border. No there but us.  The border guard was friendly, asked a few  questions and when we said we were staying in Goldendale he said he had a cousin there.  Did we know they had a full sized Stonehenge there?  Nope..Neither did he and he laughed.   How long in the US, 10 days and then Mexico?  Took about 5 minutes, looked at nothing and have a nice day.  I think it's because we are such upstanding citizens😆
Welcome to Washington.

Downtown Oroville.

Tonasket another small town.
Coming up... Omak.
Here and for quite a way they'd paved the ruts.  Rough pavement and really hard to steer.

We stopped just before Wenatchee for fuel and lunch and diesel was, $4.75 US a gallon.  Way higher than other years.

South to I 90.
The mighty Columbia River.
This is the bridge to Vantage on I 90 that we missed last year for some reason and ended up on an alternate route.  I guess things just don't always go as planned.
The Columbia River.
Now we go up, and up and up!
And down and so and so on😁
Lots of trucks and quite a few with loads of bright green hay.
We're heading to Goldendale and this area has the most beautul fall colour.

We rolled into Goldendale just after 4pm after an 8 hour day on the road.  Staying at the Quality Inn and tomorrow Coos Bay Oregon.

Eric's having a beer and looking out the window.

Go Jays!!

So...they won and one more win to go and its back to Toronto!
