Laughlin, Nevada

Eric and I arrived in Laughlin on Monday April 15th.  We’d flown back to Yuma from Vancouver late on Sunday night.  Bill was nice enough to pick us up at the airport even though it was 10:30pm and delivered us back to the RV and all was well when we returned. Bill and Arlie were leaving Yuma the next morning to head home to Vernon, B.C. so we said a quick goodbye.  We’ll see them when we return to Yuma in the fall.

Monday in Yuma was spent getting organized and picking up groceries as we were leaving on Tuesday morning on our way to Laughlin, Nevada.  Monday was a hot, windy, dusty day in Yuma.  Not our cup of tea!

The drive to Laughlin took us up through Quartzite, Parker and over onto the California side through Vidal Junction, Needles, California and then over to Laughlin, Nevada  and the Riverside RV Park.

We set up down on the gravel close to where we usually park and all was well.  We park down on the gravel so we can unload the bike.  Hot, hot, hot so likely the air conditioner will be called into use!

Wednesday morning started with a trip to Bullhead City where we washed the truck and bought a few things we needed.

Wednesday was also an outlet mall shopping day for me.  I like to shop here because it is so small…..no great big distances to travel from store to store.

Tomorrow we will head up through Arizona on a Route 66  bike ride to Kingman, Sigelman, and then on through Williams with and intended destination of Flagstaff.  The weather is usually too cold to do this when we are here but it looks like tomorrow might be okay.

This is always a bit dicey because it is 500ft. here and Flagstaff is 6900 feet so it is a huge temperature change.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

A bike will help me clear my head of all the that has been going on.

Should be good!
