It was hot when we arrived yesterday and really warm over night. This morning it had cooled off and when I put I my runners on at 7:00 am it was windy and cool. Great for my morning walk. Many Mexicans walk in the morning too.
When I returned at 8:00 Eric was up, had coffee ready and his nose was running big time. Huge amounts of…..snot! Does he have a cold? Well we decided he should try an allergy pill “Andantol” which we got in Los de Marcos and see if it helped. It is spring here and the orange trees are flowering although it seems they are always flowering! He was tired as well so…a long morning nap. Sleep always helps although Eric is not a very successful napper.
After lunch we were off to do our chores. Wal-Mart in Guayamas for buns and a few last minute items for tomorrow and then into San Carlos.
Pretty quiet in San Carlos and when we went to get money….the banco was gone. What the heck. So…off to the Marina Terra Hotel and their bank machine for money we hoped. It did work but the service fee was high and this time it was all in Spanish. We figured it out and got money. When we stopped for fuel at the Pemex (yes we paid for more than we pumped) the worker said the bank was gone. Too quiet in San Carlos I guess.
I made my usual stop at Sagittaria for a look see and bought something for my sister Anne’s 60th birthday in May. She reads the blog so I can’t tell you what I bought!
Then it was home for happy hour and dinner.
This morning the workers were all around us. Raking leaves, and then just sitting blabbing behind the truck. They like to be close!
Driving along the ocean on our way back to Miramar. That’s Tetakawi(goats teats) in the distance in San Carlos.
The sun came out later and the fountain was running in front of the hotel.
Usually it it is just a pool of green slime so I just had to take some pictures.
Pretty, pretty place and we love it here.
It is now 9pm and Eric has taken another antihistamine and seems much better. Hopefully the runny nose is allergies and not a cold.
Tomorrow we are off to Edgar and Anna’s Punta Vista RV park in Santa Ana. A short day so we won’t leave till 10ish.
