Time for another group ride and today it was the El Tigre restaurant on the beach south of town. This is one of my favorite rides because there isn’t much traffic after you head west out of Villa Union and the countryside is really pretty.
Las Jaibas to Villa Union, out to the beach to El Tigre. After lunch North east to Rosario and then North to Mazatlan and home. A nice ride.
Coming through Mazatlan on our way south out of town. At any stoplight you can buy the local paper or….have your windshield washed.
Sam and Rita on the left turn we take to bypass some of the Mazatlan traffic on our way south out of town.
One of the many busy intersections heading out of town toward Villa Union. It sure will be nice when they get the Mazatlan bypass finished and we don’t have to go through the city to go south.
There is a helmet law here in Mexico…but it only means one helmet on a bike….so Momma and the little girl don’t have one!
Coming into Villa Union.
A right turn and west to El Walamo, the beach and then El Tigre. A beautiful old building on a side street.
Coming into El Walamo.
We got stuck behind a huge semi trailer and then there was one right behind us. He crowded us so bad I could have touched him. What’s up with that!
A beautiful ride to the beach.
Aquaculture….shrimp?
Huge fields of Chile.
More Agri…or Aqua culture.
Beautiful wide open beach.
El Tigre restaurant on the beach. Not many gringo’s come out this way but we try to get here at least once during our winter stay.
Frank, Dennis, Sandi and Marilyn in the Jeep.
We have been here quite a few times over the last few years and the waitress always remembers us. She does not speak English and our Spanish is no bueno!
We pick our fish for the barbecue. Today it is Snook for us and Frank and Sandi. Dennis and Marilyn will have Corvina. It’s all good!
Grammas' making the tortillas and cooking them on the grill. They’ll be fresh!
Splitting the fish for the grill….can’t get any fresher than this. They will cook it Zarandeado (with onions, chilies etc.)
Sam and Rita opted for the shrimp Empanizado (breaded) so they got to eat before us.
We used to get Pacifico beer here but now they only have Tecate (not a favorite with us.) However they also had Indio….not bad at all!
Frank and Sandi and the birthday fish! It is Frank’s birthday….Felix Compleanos Frank!
That is one big fish!
Marilyn and Dennis with their fish.
Eric and Kathy with theirs! I think there will be leftovers to take home.
The gang!
It’s time to head home. When we ride through El Rosario Sam will show us a nice restaurant on the hill. Sam has been there before and says it would be a nice place to stop and have lunch on another ride.
Always an animal of some sort by the edge of the road. I took this photo on the wrong setting but it looks kind of cool!
Aqua Verde on the way to Rosario.
The downtown church in Rosario. A right turn here to head up to the restaurant on the hill with Sam and Rita in the lead.
A beautiful view from the top.
Overlooking Rosario.
When Eric spotted the waitress’s nails I just had to take a picture. Wow!
Frank and Sandi overlooking the city.
Time to head home.
Home by 5pm….a long day and too tired for Bingo!
