Why, Az to Yuma, Az and a couple of days.

> Mainmap

162 miles.

Left Why on Sunday morning for a short journey to Yuma.  At this point we are just roaming around until it’s time to head home.  We usually stay at the Arizona Sands RV park because it’s relatively cheap and convenient.  Since we were here two years ago it has been sold and is now called the Blue Sky Ranch.  A new pool, some pickle ball/badminton courts and a few other improvements and of course an increase in price.  Those improvements are nice but of no interest to us as we only stop here for a few days coming and going.  If they were going to do something really useful they should pave the roads so everyone isn’t covered in dust all the time.  New price $42 a night and $21 with Passport America for a maximum of three nights.  Three nights it is!  The showers are clean and the laundry facilities are good but….they were before so nothing new there.

The last couple of days consisted of a trip to WalMart and a trip back to Wellton.  Eric has been wanting a new/used bicycle that actually fit him and he found one on Craig’s list that was in Welton.  We made a run out to look and as it fit him he bought it.  Not cheap even second hand but it’s hard to find a decent, large used mountain bike.

This afternoon we’ll have a quick visit with Bill and Arlie (son-in-law Wade’s Dad and step-mom.)  They winter here in Yuma and are heading home on Friday.

Tomorrow we are off to Laughlin, Nevada for a one week stay.  We hope to get in a little Harley riding before we head north next week.

  1. Don't be in a rush to head north, Canada is not ready for us weather-wise at least. We are in Oregon fighting wind, rain, hail and snow!
