Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (wind warning) and now Wednesday (really windy)!

We did do a ride to Seligman on Monday….post to follow but, how about the other days.  Well Saturday was an interesting day.  I’d mentioned that Dennis and Marilyn had pulled in on Friday so we were happy to have them join us for happy hour each day that they were here.  The weather was hot and not too windy.  Marilyn suffers badly with allergies along with asthma so this climate here is deadly for her with it’s pollen and dust.

Saturday night was the night of yet another big outdoor concert up behind the outlet mall.  When we were here last fall we were treated to a barrage of noise that rocked the rig and made our hearts vibrate….deep bass….no Bueno!  We were worried that this was going to be the same as the band had been practicing over the last few days.  Dierks Bentley? country and western star was on the bill.  Slight glitch!  The power went out at about ten to six and the band had already started…and didn’t come on until 10:45 pm.  The Aquarius, Riverside hotel and RV park along with the outlet mall and the concert centre were out of power.  The concert did go on under generator power and it was over by 10pm without a huge amount of noise.  Bueno!  We had to run our generator for a couple of hours to keep the A/C running.

Sunday…a quiet day with a little shopping.

Monday….ride to Seligman….blog to follow.

Tuesday….wind warning and we hide in the rig again.  Swell!  We were supposed to leave today, Wednesday but the wind is worse so…we wait.  Along with that are the cold temperatures up through Ely, Nevada and Jackpot, Nevada where we plan to overnight.  Down to 20F right now….way too cold!  Dennis and Marilyn are waiting it out in Alamo, Nevada between Las Vegas and Ely, Nevada.

We’ll see what Thursday brings!

  1. That wind is a real pain. Glad we came home via I5 and Vancouver. Not sure if we will do the Connector as the web cam is showing a lot of snow at the top. Good luck with your travel plans. Alamo is not too bad of an area.
