The day after.

Saturday morning was once again a beautiful day!  Bright, sunny and warm…who could ask for anything more.

Brian, Fran, Eric and I headed over to Kathryn and Gary’s late in the morning for a visit.

IMG_0108  When we got into New Westminster we stopped at the Auto shop where Spencer works.  He is attempting to restore a 1956 Willy’s Jeep pick-up.  Funny enough Eric and I had a 1958 Willy’s pick up that he put a 305 Chev engine that was our family vehicle for many years.  He also had a 1949 Willy’s pick up for a spare.  Eric and I along with our two small children (Krista and Erika) in the front.  A long time ago.IMG_0110Lots of work to be done yet.  I wonder if he’ll ever get it finished.     IMG_0114

Kathryn and Gary’s.

Kathryn says…”Get a load of this picture!”

IMG_0120  The family in earlier days…That’s Eric with the beard and me next to him, Kathryn is on the far right.

Everyone is ready for lunch so we decide to walk down to Columbia street on the Fraser River.

The Magnolia’s are blooming and they are just gorgeous.IMG_0133

So….where shall we go for lunch. IMG_0134

Kathryn and Eric just start walking…we’ll figure it out when we get there.   IMG_0136

The family is now heading along Columbia Street.  It is a steep walk down the hill and it will be a steep walk back up after lunch. IMG_0139

In the Pub on the Keye along the Fraser River and lunch is ordered.  Emily on the right orders a “Gin and tonic.”  That is what her Grandma Doris used to drink! Too funny.IMG_0141

A good chat while we wait for lunch.   IMG_0143

Walking back along the boardwalk on the Fraser River.

Kathryn thinks this might make a good mother of the groom dress when Spencer and Lindsay get married next summer!

IMG_0146

Just up the hill from Columbia and this is the small park where Kathryn and Gary had their wedding pictures taken.IMG_0147

We made it over the water and no one fell in!  However Caitlin and Emily did say that they had both fallen in before.IMG_0148

Fran hams it up!IMG_0149

Caitlin took a picture of the “adults!”IMG_0150

A gorgeous setting for a picture.    IMG_0155

Caitlin wouldn’t let me take her picture!IMG_0156

Up the trail and home we go.IMG_0157

Emily got tired so Caitlin carried her little sister…..but not too far.
